In this workshop, we are baking a rhubarb custard  as well as deliciously moist raspberry streusel cake using sourdough starter!

We will be making a rhubarb custard tart from scratch - crispy sour dough crust with luscious custard and stewed rhubarb topping!

We will also be baking up yummy berry streusel cake using sour dough discard - tender raspberry sour dough cake with crunchy streusel topping! This is an easy and quick recipe which you can whip up quite easily and this means you do not have to keep throwing away the sour dough discard when you feed your starter!

Come and learn how to bake these amazing treats and get started on your sourdough journey! 

What you will learn:

  • How to maintain SD starter
  • How to incorporate sourdough into pie crusts
  • How to make rhubarb custard filling
  • How to make streusel topping
  • How to make Berry Streusel cake using SD

What you will prepare:

  • One 7" SD Rhubarb Custard Tart
  • Eight pieces SD Berry Streusel Cake

Participants are to bring their own pen and clipboard for the class if they wish to take notes. Participants may be asked to share workspace depending on recipe.

The maximum class size is 5. Classes will start with a minimum of 3 participants. Fees paid are non-refundable, and if a participant is absent for a workshop, no make-ups will be conducted. Fees paid cannot be transferred to another workshop.

In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will be cancelled. Participants will be informed via email and all monies paid will be refunded.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment must be made at the point of registration.
Videography is not allowed for this workshop.

The Domestic Goddess Wannabe reserves the right to change the venue of the workshop in the event that the studio is not available. Participants will be notified via email should there be a change.
