This workshop is for those who love pure sourdough bread and are looking for a simplified method to make them from scratch!

We will be making the bread using a sourdough starter. You will learn how to incorporate all the ingredients, as well as how to laminate and shape the dough. You will also learn how to bulk ferment the dough. Finally, you will learn how to score the dough and bake the bread. This bread depends wholly on the sourdough starter for leavening but it is a simplified method that makes the process very manageable and enjoyable!

What you will learn:

  • How to maintain SD starter
  • How to incorporate sourdough into breads by hand
  • How to knead and fold the dough
  • How to bulk ferment
  • How to incorporate cranberry and almond into sour dough breads
  • How to laminate the dough
  • How to shape, score and bake the bread

What you will prepare:

  • One loaf sourdough bread
  • One loaf sourdough bread dough

Participants are to bring their own pen for the class if they wish to take notes. Participants may be asked to share workspace depending on recipe.

The maximum class size is 6. Classes will start with a minimum of 4 participants. Fees paid are non-refundable, and if a participant is absent for a workshop, no make-ups will be conducted. Fees paid cannot be transferred to another workshop. Participants can send someone to come for the class in his/her place, failing which a copy of the recipe will be sent to him/her.

In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will either be postponed or cancelled. Participants will be informed via email in which an alternative date for the class will be provided. In the event of a cancellation, all monies paid will be refunded.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment must be made at the point of registration.
Videography is not allowed for this workshop.

The Domestic Goddess Wannabe reserves the right to change the venue of the workshop in the event that the studio is not available. Participants will be notified via email should there be a change.
