In this workshop, I will be teaching you how to cook up some easy but tasty Japanese dishes!

To start, we will cook Japanese pork and vegetables rice. This is a simple dish that requires few ingredients (you can even omit the pork to make it totally vegetarian), yet it tastes so delicious, you will want to cook this again and again!

We will also cook grilled miso pork belly. Well-marinated pork belly is grilled in the oven, making the meat so flavorful and tasty! Fuss-free and mess-free, this is one of my favorite things to cook!

Finally we will cook Tonjiru - Japanese vegetable soup that is soooooooooooooooo yummy! This is a dish that you will want to eat with rice again and again!

Totally delicious, if I may say so myself!

What you will learn:

  • How to cook pork and vegetables rice
  • How to prepare pork belly
  • How to marinate and cook pork belly
  • How to prepare soup base
  • How to cook Japanese vegetables soup

What you will prepare:

  • 2-4 servings Japanese pork and vegetables rice
  • 2-4 servings Japanese grilled miso pork belly
  • 2-4 servings Japanese vegetable soup

Participants are to bring their own pen for the class if they wish to take notes. Participants may be asked to share workspace depending on recipe.

The maximum class size is 6. Classes will start with a minimum of 4 participants. Fees paid are non-refundable, and if a participant is absent for a workshop, no make-ups will be conducted. Fees paid cannot be transferred to another workshop. Participants can send someone to come for the class in his/her place, failing which a copy of the recipe will be sent to him/her.

In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will either be postponed or cancelled. Participants will be informed via email in which an alternative date for the class will be provided. In the event of a cancellation, all monies paid will be refunded.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment must be made at the point of registration.
Videography is not allowed for this workshop.

The Domestic Goddess Wannabe reserves the right to change the venue of the workshop in the event that the studio is not available. Participants will be notified via email should there be a change.
