In this workshop, we are making some unusual chiffon cakes and you will learn all the basics skills necessary to make fabulously tall and soft chiffon cakes!

The first cake we will make is a Japanese milk jam iced chiffon. A milk chiffon is pumped full of milk jam cream and decorated before being drizzled with more milk jam! Creamy and so tender, this cake is a switch up on the regular chiffon cake!

We are also baking a super, super soft nutty Chai chiffon and this cake is made into a pound cake shape! Pretty and delicious and totally unusual, this cake is a winner in every way!

If you love chiffon cakes, then this is definitely the one workshop you don't want to miss!

What you will learn: 

  • 2 chiffon cake recipes 
  • How to make the right meringue
  • How to fold meringue
  • How to incorporate milk jam cream into cake
  • How to bake chiffon in a pound pan
  • How to bake and unmold chiffon cakes

What you will prepare:

  • One 6" Japanese Milk Jam Iced Chiffon Cake
  • One 21cm Nutty Chai Chiffon Pound Cake

Class structure:

Participants are to bring their own pen for the class if they wish to take notes. Participants may be asked to share workspace depending on recipe.

The maximum class size is 6. Classes will start with a minimum of 4 participants. Fees paid are non-refundable, and if a participant is absent for a workshop, no make-ups will be conducted. Fees paid cannot be transferred to another workshop. Participants can send someone to come for the class in his/her place, failing which a copy of the recipe will be sent to him/her.

In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will either be postponed or cancelled. Participants will be informed via email in which an alternative date for the class will be provided. In the event of a cancellation, all monies paid will be refunded.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment must be made at the point of registration.

Videography is not allowed for this workshop.
