In this workshop, we are making a steamed Christmas fruit cake and a super moist cinnamon apple and pecan cake!

We start with the fruit cake - you will learn how to prepare the fruit as well as the nuts that will go into this cake. You will also learn how to make the batter and cook the cake! This cake is moist and so Christmasy and is great for gifting too!

We are also baking a super moist and beautiful cinnamon apple and pecan cake using fresh apples! This cake is easy to put together and is so pretty you will be proud to serve it at any Christmas gathering! 

Come and learn how to bake these gorgeous Christmas cakes!

What you will learn:

  • How to prepare dried fruit
  • How to prepare nut filling
  • How to make cake batter
  • How to steam fruit cake
  • How to prepare apples
  • How to bake apple pecan cake

What you will prepare:

  • One 6" steamed Christmas fruit cake
  • One 6" cinnamon apple pecan cake

What the fee includes:

Ingredients for the class
Use of kitchen equipment

Cleaning and washing up

Interactive hands-on baking session

Participants are to bring their own pen for the class if they wish to take notes. Participants may be asked to share workspace depending on recipe.

The maximum class size is 6. Classes will start with a minimum of 4 participants. Fees paid are non-refundable, and if a participant is absent for a workshop, no make-ups will be conducted. Fees paid cannot be transferred to another workshop. Participants can send someone to come for the class in his/her place, failing which a copy of the recipe will be sent to him/her.

In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will either be postponed or cancelled. Participants will be informed via email in which an alternative date for the class will be provided. In the event of a cancellation, all monies paid will be refunded.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment must be made at the point of registration.
Videography is not allowed for this workshop.

The Domestic Goddess Wannabe reserves the right to change the venue of the workshop in the event that the studio is not available. Participants will be notified via email should there be a change.
